Bravo To Oyo Water Corporation

Recently, I went to the Water Corporation of Oyo State’s office at Government Secretariat, Oritamefa, Ibadan, with a letter to Mrs. Ibilola Oyegede, the General Manager, for assistance to solve the problem of water in the Agbeni Ologede area of Ibadan City, but she was not in. For this reason, I left a written message.

A few days later, three officials of the corporation, Messrs. O. Oguntade, Musibau Olalere (Koye) and Waheed Adesina, to my astonishment, came to the area to do the work. Shortly after, water started flowing from taps in the area. This made me happy because the problem had been left unattended to since 1995 by the past heads of the corporation despite the fact that I made persistent pleas to the then General Manager and other senior officials of the corporation for help. This singular act has not only aroused a fresh hope and confidence I have in Mrs. Oyegede and others who work with her, but has demonstrated true leadership qualities.
