I Was Born An Entertainer

Daniel Ugbede BabaHE started his entertainment career in his primary school by playing a lead role in acting
a drama that made them win a trophy for his school in the year 1994. In 1997, he moved to secondary school where he finally discovered himself as a Good MC / Comedian in entertainment after taking a bold step in anchoring events as Master of Ceremonies in several schools.
Going down memory lane, MC Danni-B, formally known as Baba D is the second best stand-up MC/ comedian from Kogi State and was born in November 3, 1988. After following the footsteps of his elder brother, Sheddi Baba, Ayo Makun a.k.a AY and Gbenga Adeyinka D'1st, star comedians in the entertainment sector, he became active and fearless, ready to entertain the crowd anywhere without a stage fright.
After taking a very good advice from his mentor, Mrs. Maureen Moyo, Daniel Ugbede, in 2001, moved on to his church and other places by putting up comedy shows such as Laff n Ebarrazz Ya Seff, November, 2002, Laff Day Sweet Oh, November 2005, Laff In Due Season1, April, 2006 and Laff In Due Season 2, June 7, 2008 which made Surulere reel with laughter all the way.
M.C. Danni-B is humble, loving, hardworking, dynamic and funny to the core. Over the years, he has found a balance between the corporate and comedy world by becoming a professional MC/ Comedian in the entertainment sector, delivering the best service at all time.
MC Danni-B, MC, Stand-Up Comedian, Event Manager, Musician is planning to release a dynamic and sweet comedy album and gospel song attached to it. MC Danni-B is seriously working hard and cooking up some very special record for Nigerians and he has promised never to fail them in anyway with his first album, whose title would be known soon. MC Danni-B has urged and pleaded with Nigerians to get a CD copy when it is out.
Noticed in several shows like Open Mic Night With Ay (At D' Vault), Laugh And Live Long By Sheddi Baba (Shell Hall Muson Centre).Laugh Mattazz With Gbenga Adeyinka, D' 1st (Mitv), Naija Comedy Carnival (Shell Hall Muison Centre), Laugh It Loud (Surulere), Planet One, White House, etc. He has also coordinated events like weddings, birthday parties, funfair, church programmes, seminars and conferences.
He is a talented event manager who spices up an event by adding a beautiful and pleasant colour.

Large Turn-out At GUS Regional Screening

The venues of the ongoing screening for this year’s Gulder Ultimate
Search (GUS) has been taken over by a multitude of youths eager to win the mouth-watering prizes offered by Gulder lager this year. It is a battle of the fittest as everyone tries to prove his or herself to ensure that they are selected for the final selection in Lagos. Over 25,000 applied for the competition this year and regional screenings are taking place in Abuja, Benin, Owerri, Enugu and Lagos. In Enugu, for instance, some youths who were not shortlisted for not meeting qualification criteria for screening still went to the Presidential Hotel venue and pleaded with organisers to give them a chance to prove themselves. A particular one was heard telling another that he was determined to go the whole hug to find the Lost Chronicle to elevate himself and his family from poverty level.
Entry for the competition closed on Saturday June 21, 2008. According to Miss Adedoyin Okunrinboye, Gulder Brand Manager, the GUS website was under serious pressure recording about 80 entries every 5 minutes. She said this year’s competition which is slated to hold at Awgu Hills in Enugu State is going to be a very exciting one given the huge interest shown by potential participants.
Daily highlights of the search will be telecast from July 19th – August 9th, 2008 on National and Cable TV stations. This year, the Ultimate Man or Woman who finds the “Lost Chronicle”, a treasure that will banish the tyrant war lord and protect the future, would exchange it for a whooping cash prize of N7million (seven million Naira), two million higher than what was given to the winner in 2007, a wardrobe allowance of N500,000 and a Brand New SUV.
Other prizes include N2.5m and N1.5m for the first and second runners- up respectively. The 4th-placed contestant would go home with N750, 000 while the 5th-placed contestant would earn N700,000. The 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th win N650,000, 600,000, 550,000, 500,000 and 450,000 respectively.
Just like last year, the “Last Woman Standing” would win an additional N1, 000,000 as Nigerian TV viewers and the international audience get set to be treated to the best 21 days of entertainment with an original Nigerian Adventure programme with international standards.
The contestants are expected to go through an exciting and rewarding search in the very challenging terrain of Awgu Hills. “As a result of the challenging nature of the search location, Safety, Health and Security will be of the highest standards possible. The following facilities will be put in place throughout the duration of the search: a fully equipped and well-trained medical team; a world-class security team; a comprehensive insurance cover, with one of the country’s most reputable insurance companies for the Searchers Crew and equipment; modern communication gadgets to ensure minute-by-minute monitoring of all involved,” Adedoyin said.
