Nigerians have continued to pour accolades on the country’s men's Olympic soccer team, Dream Team IV following its superlative performance at the just concluded Beijing 2008.

Speaking with Tribunesports at the National Stadium, Lagos, chairman of Lagos Divisional Football Association (LDFA), Dotun Coker, commended the efforts of the Samson Siasia-tutored boys for winning the silver medal and advised that the team should be kept together for future assignments.

He also noted that with the players playing together, they can transform into the Super Eagles in the next few years.

According to him, “for the team to achieve success, they need to be together, play a series of friendlies so that there would be more understanding among them as exhibited during the Olympics.”

Also speaking, proprietor of Bolowotan Football Academy, Mr. Oluwatoyin Gafar Bolowotan, described the Dream Team IV as the best thing that has ever happened to the country’s football in recent times.

He stated that the lads were full of energy and strength throughout their campaign at the Olympics, noting that the boys made the entire black race proud.

Bolowotan also commended the technical know-how of coach Siasia saying that “he is a very sound coach.”
